THERAPY FOR TEACHERS & EDUCATORS IN SPRINGFIELD & ACROSS OREGON
Learn to be an advocate for you.
Find respite from the classroom & balance in the chaos.
You’re falling apart and it feels like you can’t even fake it anymore.
Somehow, you always seem to be scrambling to get your stuff together when all the teachers around you are so organized and on top of everything. You’re wondering, “Am I doing something wrong?” You could be the kind of person who’s taken care of others your entire life, so becoming an educator seemed like a no-brainer. But now? It just feels suffocating.
Maybe you really love teaching and do your best to make everything work: you fill your time with students, conferences, and volunteer activities, but what used to be energizing is now just exhausting, and you’re worried you’re headed down a road toward burnout and resentment. You could already be taking medication for anxiety or depression, but it doesn’t feel like it’s enough.
It’s uncomfortable—embarrassing, even—to think about asking for help. When you took time for yourself in the past or raised your hand for some help, you were flooded with texts or missed calls from your partner, your kids, or the school—all needing something else from you. It’s almost like working is easier—you wouldn’t even know how to put yourself first if you tried.
Is there ever going to be a light at the end of this tunnel?

You can lose your shit and still be a “good” teacher, mom, person—you name it. Both can be true.
My approach
I’m someone who will really listen.
Everybody else turns to you for help. You need somebody who can take the time for you.
In therapy, we’ll practice relaxation and mindfulness techniques to help you feel calm and find inner balance from the intensity of your work life. I’ll help you learn how to say “no” and establish healthy boundaries—ones that really work—so you can thrive. Sure, it might piss somebody off, but your well-being is important, too, and there’s a way to care for others while also caring for you.
I’ll also help you recognize that doing less is enough. It can be a vulnerable experience accepting that you can’t do it all, but when you step into this realization you’ll start to shed the unrealistic expectations that have been placed on you by others and the educational system. Our culture of overworking educators is not your fault.
You’re not crazy. I’m human too, so with me, you’ll get complete honesty, a bit of sarcasm, and sometimes even a healthy dose of appropriate self-disclosure (trust me, I can relate)! Let me help you find relief from your stress, the ability and confidence to voice your needs, and inner peace.
Reframe negativity. Find validation & peace.
“I’m failing as a teacher.”
“I’m doing my best & that is enough.”
“I’m constantly stretched too thin.”
“I can set boundaries & limits. It’s okay for me to ask for help.”
“I feel guilty when I take time for myself—I should be working.”
“Self-care is crucial & I deserve time to recharge.”
“I’m not even making a difference.”
“Every interaction counts & what I’m doing matters.”
It’s time for the “helper” in you to finally help yourself.

Yes. The impact of the classroom combined with parents and the educational system is heavy and sometimes filled with traumatic experiences or trauma that you are a witness to. I’m here to meet you with compassion as I draw upon trauma-informed practices to guide you on the path to healing. Therapy can help you reduce any type of anxiety, depression or other symptoms due to these experiences.

I draw from a variety of methods including strength-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches, alongside modalities such as EMDR, EFT, mindfulness, CBT, DBT, creative expression, and animal-assisted therapy.
